Well, perhaps an Ashes series in Australia where they still have a chance to reclaim the urn after the first three Tests.

Unfortunately, this scenario is off the table this time, though, after a comprehensive victory by 82 runs in Adelaide left the home side leading three-nil for the fourth successive Ashes series on Australian grounds.

The loyal traveling fans, the organized fan base, have a large group traveling for the concluding fixtures in Sydney and Melbourne.

In addition, there are organized trips who will celebrate the holidays in Australia, as well as relatives and companions planning a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

The Disappointed Travelers

Four fans named Alex, Sam, Rory and Katie are four such fans.

Alex, Sam, Rory and Katie had their flights and tickets secured for the Melbourne and Sydney matches "well ahead of time", dreaming of a long-awaited triumph.

Instead, they have watched Australia dismantle the tourists in just a short period from their house in the north of England.

"People in the office has been giving me grief about it being over for the last two weeks," stated Sam Ryding.

"We always thought that we would have a meaningful contest upon our arrival."

Lowered Expectations

But they are now facing the prospect of continuing a barren spell in the country to 19 matches when the fourth Test gets under way in the MCG on Christmas Day.

The tourists - and their supporters - will be keen to prevent a clean sweep.

One sibling noted the "entertainment" of head coach the positive style of play in recent years had "renewed interest in" the longest format for England fans.

However, the group said they had realistic outlooks for the fourth and fifth Tests - and all they are requesting from the players is "a bit of fight".

Looking Ahead

When questioned if he believed England will triumph in a Test in this Ashes series, came the reply: "It looks like the Australians are superior currently."

"It will require multiple performers that stands up for England and produces a match-winning display."

Even with the series lost, the siblings are still anticipating the trip.

"We are going to have a fantastic experience regardless," commented Katie Ryding. "We must adopt that mindset."

"Of course, it's a let-down we can't contest the series, but we have invested a significant amount as it is."

"We plan to savor spending the festive season in Australia. Additionally, it's mine and Rory's first time traveling at this time of year."

A teacher, Katie is intent on maximizing the lengthy journey as part of her time off.

"As a backup plan, I've got golf to fall back on," Katie concluded.
