Eulogies Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began passing more hours together I understood this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "a single day without joy".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes wrote.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles court official decided to block the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive put a security hold on the investigation to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the probe.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of murder, with a official listing citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Aftermath and Reactions

After the killings, public figures offered divergent reactions.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making controversial claims that were widely condemned by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the those speaking out recently. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the remarks as "disturbing" and implied they showed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by proposing that an associate should have intervened when the decision to comment on the tragedy was made.
